Please help me find a 20% off coupon for toys r us?
Q. Im buying my daughter a birthday gift at toys r us hopefully today or tomorrow if i can find a coupon. If anyone got one in the mail they are not using and have the code that would be a great help. Thanks so much!

A. I work at Toys R Us, and the only 20% off coupon out right now is for Baby items. On the other hand, in the store there should be a 5 dollar off a 25 dollar or more purchase coupon. Make sure to ask for it when you go in. Happy shopping!

Toys R Us (Canada) registry coupons... can you use more than one at a time?
Q. I have toys r us registry coupons, $5 off if you spend $50. If I bought a bigger ticket item, worth say $200, could I use 4 of these coupons to get $20 off the purchase price?

It says nothing on the coupon itself about not being able to combine...

A. As long as they don't have the same SKU# you can use them all at once.

where the hell are theses "free printable coupons or coupon codes"?
Q. NOW i know every ones says just GOOOOOGLE IT. I do and always end up empty handed with those stupid website you have to sign up for spam mail basically. I want to know where can i find some toy r us printable coupons or coupon codes even target and what not????

good beginner bmx bike?
Q. Im looking to buy a street bmx bike and my price limit is $350 nothing more expensive than that but I would like for it to come with a 25t sprocket and a 25:9 gear ratio and the rest doesnt matter but I want to start ridin bmx I have a xgames one from toys r us and am looking to step up to something better
I was thinkin an eastern cobra or a sunday funday not sure though
now its between a eastern cobra or the united recruit
also am i too tall for a regular sized bmx bike im 6'1 or 6'2 and my mom says im too big but i disagree but am i

A. First off...the Eastern Cobra doesn't come with 25/9 gearing (which is the number of teeth in the sprocket/chainwheel and the number of teeth on the cassette cog).It comes with a 30t sprocket and a 12t cassette cog.

30/12 = 2.5:1
25/9 = 2.77:1 harder to pedal then 30/12 but higher top speed
25/12 = 2.08:1 easier to start pedaling but lower top speed

Also it's pretty stupid to say "I want it to come with a 25t sprocket and a 25/9 gear ratio"...(and not know what it means)..."and the rest doesn't matter" is a STUPID thing to say.

What's more important then the gear ratio (which can easily be switched by buying a smaller sprocket and cog)?

Making sure you buy a bike intended for the style of riding you plan on doing (street/park/vert,dirt jump/trails,flatland,racing)...

Making sure you're getting the absolute best value for your money.

Making sure the bike has either a 100% chromoly frame and fork or a chromoly main frame (toptube, downtube, seat tube, and head tube are chromoly) because chromoly tubing is stronger and lighter then hi-tensile steel tubing of the same thickness and diameter. The Eastern Cobra and the United Recruit both sport full hi-tensile steel frames...and neither comes with pegs (if you were planning on riding street/park and doing grinds or peg stalls).

You say you'll spend up to $350 maximum...so let's look at some better bikes with better parts from danscomp.com

DK Helio https://www.danscomp.com/101252.php?cat=BIKES sports a chromoly frame and fork, with integrated headset, drilled for gyro/detangler tabs, has a 25t sprocket and 9t cassette cog...retails for $339.99 before shipping and $364.94 shipped, but if you add promo code 41DA at checkout then you will get it for only $313.94 shipped...that's 15% off your order,a $51 savings!

DK Kvant https://www.danscomp.com/101253.php?cat=BIKES sports a 100% chromoly frame and forks, has a 25t sprocket and 9t cassette cog and pegs...retails for $399.99 before shipping...get it for only $364.94 shipped ($14.94 more then your $350),using that promo code 41da for a $60 savings!

Look into some other bikes in the $325 to $400 before shipping range and test that promo code out on them.

How come the prices for Xbox 360 Elite are going down?
Q. I've checked 4 sites and they are Walmart, Toys'r'us, Bestbuy, and Futureshop. All of there prices are the same at $350. Could it be that its Canadian sites, or microsoft planning to sell out there Elites because they produced too much and arent selling OR a new Xbox is coming out?

A. I guess it's just normal for all goods. Over time, what usually happens is the prices of all goods will gradually depreciate. Or, they could just be possibly lowering the price as no one is buying something at such an expensive price. I bought my Xbox 360 Elite last year for Christmas for $550 - living in Australia. I know that too, over here the prices are a lot more cheaper now as to when I bought it. Project Natal's probably coming out sometime as well, so maybe they're making some preparation for that.

Why do Katie Couric, et al conduct a telethon for retailers?
Q. Another holiday shopping season is upon us, and that can mean only one thing: TV news anchors reminding consumers that the nation's retailers are COUNTING on us to spend spend spend, otherwise they won't have as profitable a year as they had hoped.

Every year, it's the same damn thing. Dan Rather, Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw did it as well. They've turned themselves into Sally Struthers for Toys R Us.

Has anybody else noticed this shilling for retailers?

A. For the same reason that every TV show in the ABC sphere is pushing that AUSTRALIA film--they have an INTEREST in parting you from your money by selling you a product.

The networks are part of conglomerates that sell crap to people. These networks are owned by major corporations that make everything from refrigerators to guided missile systems. They own theme parks, auto manufacturers, you name it--they have their dirty fingers in every pie.

News isn't news anymore--it's a corporate product.

Read the paper and watch cartoons instead....honestly, you'll probably be better informed.

Where can i buy sea triops here in miami?
Q. toys r us doesn't have any... nor does k-mart! =[

A. There is no such things as triops from the sea. They live in inland clean waters free of salt.
You can buy triops, American species, at Walmart.
I live in Australia and don't have Walmart here but everyone else says you can buy them there.
Toys R Us sell triops American species called 'Aquasaurs' or triassic triops.
I've been to America before and there has been another product called 'triops test tube' or somthing like that. They can be bought at the 'Discovery Channel' store.
You can buy triops at other educational stores as well.
There is an Australian species of triops called, in a retail name, 'BillabongBugs'.
You can order triops off ebay.
The Billabongbugs can be ordered from 'www.billabongbugs.com' in the products section.

Business Quesion :D?
Q. Hello I have been working on a school question for a few hours and I have about a paragraph down but I was wondering if someone could give me a little input on the question. Debate the ethics of doing business in countries with totalitarian governments

A. Recently, there is a debate over the subject of ethics, particularly in international business issues. The reason of this debate is because of multinationalfirms unethical operations in overseas countries, such as China. It is unethical, because most of these firms do not conduct their business by following the ruleswhen they are conducting the same business in their home country. For instance, they pay more attention to some issues, some of which are product safety, work safety, and other working conditions, in their domestic operations. However, thesame firms abuse the regulatory and legal environment in such countries likeChina. A Chinese organization, called China Labor Watch, has a website whichcontains information with respect to the problems, concerns, and issues of laborforce in China. There is a survey in this website concerning the ideas of
whether they believe that Chinese Labor Laws can protect laborrights or not. Considering these results, it is obvious that 42% of participants haveanswered the questions as No protection at all, out of 2391 participants (ChinaLabor Watch, 2006). This may not represent the ideas of the majority or an indication of what people believe. However, it gives a small idea about workingconditions in China. As a matter of fact, there are some opinions on this issue.Whats more, there were and there are some examples of these kinds ofimplications, such as the example of Ohio Art Company. II. A Toy Manufacturer and Its Unethical Implementations in China The Ohio Art Company is known as the producer of one of the top sellingtoys of all time, the venerable Etch-ASketch. More than 100 million of thefamiliar red rectangular drawing toys have been sold since 1960 when it wasinvented. The late 1990s, however, became a troubled time for the toys maker. Confronted with sluggish toy sales, the Ohio Art Company lost money for twoyears. In December 2000, it made the strategic decision to outsource productionof the Etch-A-Sketch toys to Kin Ki Industrial, a leading Chinese toy maker, laying off 100 U.S. workers in the process. The rational for the outsourcing wassimple enough. The company had to keep the costs of Etch-A-Sketch under $10in order to compete with the big retailers, such as Wal-Mart and Toys R Us.Otherwise, the company would loose money. It was paying $1500 a month forunionized workers in the U.S., while it would pay $75 a month for a Chineseworker. After beginning to produce in China, the main savings came not fromlower wages, but from lower overhead costs for plant, maintenance, electricity, and payroll, and the ability to get out from the soaring costs of providing healthbenefits to U.S. manufacturing employees. Everything was going well until NewYork Times published in December 2003. The Times reporter painted a dismalpicture of working conditions at the Kin Ki factory that manufactured the Etch-A-Sketch (Hill, 2006: 26). III. Legal Issues in ChinaDuring the late 1980s and early 1990s, China was routinely cited by various international organizations such as Amnesty International and FreedomWatch for major human rights violations, including torture, beatings, imprisonment, and executions of political dissidents. Despite this, in the late1990s and early 2000s, China received record levels of foreign direct investment, mainly from firms based in democratic societies such as the United States, Japan, and Germany (Hill, 2005: 83). As mentioned in the example of Ohio ArtCompany, some of the companies in these nations misused the poor legalenvironment and working conditions in China. What changed in China and was itethical for these companies to move their manufacturing activities to China?China's first national labor law was passed by the National People'sCongress on July 5, 1994. Effective January 1, 1995, the Labor Law of thePeople's Republic of China is a blueprint that will shape labor relations to the

Y?im ve Ekonomi 14/1 (2007) 267-274269contours of China's burgeoning market economy and unify legal treatment foremployers and employees in foreign-invested as well as domestic enterprises. Thenew law touches on every important aspect of the employment relationship andthe workplace. In relation to hiring and firing, Beijing has codified provisions onthe following; recruitment, discrimination, contracts, and termination of contractsand dismissal. An important objective of the new law is to prevent exploitation ofworkers, especially in foreign-invested enterprises. The new Labor Law thusclarifies and confirms rules governing working hours, wage levels, and otherissues relating to worker safety and training. As with prior labor laws, the newlaw delegates most of the responsibility for enforcement to local labor bureaus(Markel, 1994: 46)As seen above, Labor law set by the Chinese government in Beijing arenot severe. Labor Law of the Peoples Republic of China allows factory managers to negotiate with local governments over working hours and minimumwage requirements. Chapter 5 of the Labor Law document deals with wages.Article 48, in its entirety, sets the tone for Beijings non-regulation of pay andwork hours in China (Fox et. al., 2005: 319):The State shall implement a system of guaranteed minimum wages. Specificstandards on minimum wages shall be stipulated by provincial, autonomousregional and municipal peoples governments and reported to the State Councilfor registration. The employer shall pay laborers wages no lower than localstandards on minimum wages. It is obvious that these legal arrangements are not adequate and applicableby international investors to full extent. If the major human rights had not beenviolated in China by international companies, the ethics issue would not havebecome a controversy of some civil society institutions. IV. The Other Side of the Coin: Chinas StrengthsChina is now an investment paradise for investors. It is on tops inrankings, even it is number one in most rankings. The reason is the changing andimproving value of China, because of governments incentives and regulations, and cheap work force for the investment and production, particularly in labor-intensive manufacturing. Whats more, the country overtook the United States in attracting FDI in 2002, and it may well become the worlds largest economy in 2020 (Yin et. al.,2005: 3). For instance, there is an index called Foreign Direct InvestmentConfidence Index including the ranking of countries which have potentialinvestment opportunities. FDI Confidence Index tracks the impact of the likely political, economic and regulatory changes on the foreign direct investmentintentions and preferences of the leaders of the worlds leading companies. TheIndex is computed as a weighed average of the number of high, medium, low and no interest responses to a question about the likelihood of direct investment in amarket over the next one to three year period. Index values are based on non-

All Index values are calculatedon a scale of zero to three, with three representing highly attractive and zero notattractive. Human Development Index and China A research shows that China is not in a bad place by considering theHuman Development Index (HDI). The HDI is a composite of three basiccomponents of human development; longevity, knowledge, and standard ofliving. It has been designed by United Nations Development Program in order toreflect the condition of an average person in a country and includes index valuesfor 174 countries (UNDP, 2006). According to this index formed by AmartyaSen, a Nobel Prize-winning economist, China has a score between 0.651 and 0.800 before 1980s which means the country is in higher-medium human development class. After middle 1980s, the country seems to make a good jump by increasing its level from higher-medium to high human development classwhich is a good indication for this nation by looking at the applications (HumanDevelopment Report, 2005). They arn't babies, they are 2 & 4, both girls. i am really at my wits end. im pregnant, so im tired all the time & finding it difficult to look after them never mind look after myself or get the energy to clean the house. i havnt eaten properly in 3 or 4 days, also i havnt showered for the same length of time, gross i know but how can i get into the shower with a 2 year old running about & im so exausted from not eating all day that i fall asleep on the sofa just after i put them to bed. my husband works all the time, my mother works too & has just had an operation, she cant look after them., i have no sisters to help out & all my friends have kids of their own, my husbands mother & father r 2 busy with their own lives, buts thats another story, so i have no-one to watch the kids even for an hour to get a break from them.

on top of all that all my kids do is cry, they fight then cry, fall then cry, when their tv show is over they cry, when i dont let them draw on walls they cry, when i discipline them (& i do, i dont let them get away with bad behavior but i am not too hard on them) they cry. i distract them with toys then they fight over toys & cry, when their father leaves for work they cry, when my mother visits then leaves they cry, when we visit my mother & go home they cry. when i put them to bed they cry. when i take them out of the bath they cry.

& im on my own with them, what am i supposed to do?

A. Perhaps you could get more involved with the neighbors, if they have children about your children's ages. It is hard to give information without knowing your complete situation and that is not practical here.

Adults tend to make too much of children crying. Children to do not have the capacity to cope with change that we do. Often adults get upset at children when they cry, yell at them and everyone gets even more upset. Maybe it is a hold over from when our parents yelled at us when we cried as kids.

Crying is a temporary measure to cope with stress. We all did it. Virtually all of us outgrew it.

You certainly do not want them hurting each other, but 5 minutes after fighting and battling, they are best friends and sharing. About all you can really do is to tone it done a little.

Then of course, there are hormones. You cannot blame them for every time you may have become angry too soon. But you do have to realize that you are human and forgive yourself too.

How to follow up after applying online for a seasonal position at Toys "R" Us?

Q. So I applied online for Toys"R"Us for an hourly seasonal position. Was wondering how exactly to follow up over the phone and when it would be proper to? What should I do to get myself and noticed and land an interview? Would walking in be a better follow up than phone? How long would it take for them to go over my application and contact me?

A. call them then say...hi may i please speak with the manager..if they ask what is this regarding say just following up on an aplication..then once the manager answers say..hi my name is (full name) i applied on (date here) and i just wanted to follow up on my application and wanted to know if you would happen to have any positions available for me...

This is how i now have my job at target.

What are good answers for online applications?
Q. All those questions are so tricky! Strongly Aggree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly dissagree.
Sometimes I want it in the middle. Whats the trick? I've applied to babies r us, toys r us, home depot and more...
Can someone PLEASE tell me something about online applications? I'm doing it perfect(i think)...maybe its just Michigan..lol

A. Strongly agree, agree, disagree type of questions, gotta love em!

There is pretty much 1 of 2 ways to go at these questions:
1. Answer honestly
2. Put the answers you think that particular company wants to hear and the answers that you think best fit the job you are applying for

I wouldn't stray from either of these two metohds - use one and only one, otherwise the company will see that your answers weren't accurate. Take the approach that you haven't been doing. I'd put some thought into it and go with #2, its got me a few jobs :-D Good luck!

Are online job applications a waste of time?
Q. I have invested a lot of my time into this. I have applied for Best Buy, Sports Authority, AMC Movie Theaters, Toys R US, Taco Bell, Sears, Auto Zone, Home Depot, Macy's, Pizza Hut, Petco, Jersey Mike's, Starbucks, Boston Market, TGI Friday's, and I believe that's it or there's more lol. But not once have I got a phone call or got an email. I mean who looks at the online applications when you sent them.

A. Not really

is it safe to fill out an online application?
Q. i went into toys R us the other day and they told me i had to fill it out online......i got to the point where you had to put down your social security number i was and still are skeptic about putting it down. I mean i would do it if it were on a paper application or a application computer at their store like the ones they got at target and walmart. ohhh yeah im also 16 years old.

A. Is it a job application? And is the site secure? Does the site URL start https? The S means it is secure.
~
If secure it is ok to give them the info they seek. They won't consider you for a job without your social security number.

Is it possible to communicate to ghosts using a Ouija board bought at Toys-R-Us?
Q. I see these boards in Toys-R-Us and in the toy department of other fine stores. Is it possible to communicate with the dead using nothing more than what some people consider a toy? Is there proof that this actually works?

A. well there is no real proof that any ouija board works.

but with that in mind many people have had them work with any kind of board. including homemade boards. one of my friends had one work that he made and it was pretty much just a peice of wood and a shotglass.

either way sometimes ouija boards wont give you the result you expected if you even got anything at all. out of all the times ive used one ive only gotten something twice.

How will opening and closing a credit card affect my score?

Q. My wife and I opened a credit card at Toys r Us to get an additional 15% off our order. Once it comes in, we plan on paying the entire bill and then calling to cancel the credit card. How will this affect our score versus leaving the card open and not using it?

A. As always initial credit applications decrease your score 5-10 points depending on the bureau. This is meant as a deterrent for application-happy people. It's honourable of you to just pay the card off and close it. The thing is once you have that credit line it will be used to calculate your credit score, closing the card will make that number fall because the line isn't available for calculation. It'll take longer for your score to recoup the 5-10 points than it did to lose them. A better idea is to just pay the balance and not use the card. Just tuck it away somewhere safe and because there's no annual fee (check for inactive fees) there's no cost to you. If need be, just use it sparingly to buy stuff for your kid(s) to keep the card active.

How can I make my job application look good ?
Q. I've been trying to get a job at toys r us , target, starbucks, baby gap, old-navy and pandera . But how ! ? I know i can qualifications to work at the places but I can't get a job there ? The application online so i want to know how i can improve my job apps. Is it also my availability ? for example i would say 4pm-9pm everyday then saturday and sunday i would put open availability. I'm only 17 and for those job you have to be 17.

A. Call up the company before hand ask who the store manager is and if their hiring, if not would it be fine to leave an application for next recruitment drive. When you go to the store hand it in with a cover letter (dressed casual/smartly) expressing how much you'd love to work for xxx job and what qualities you have gained or have to offer. This cover letter will be sincerely too <<insert store managers name>> have it in an envolope with <<insert store managers name>>

4-9 is only a 5 hour shift and what if the store stays open til 11. Maybe 4 til close would be better. You can also mention why you can only do those hours but how flexible you are. Ask your parents to write the cover letter or make another question so we can offer more help.

How long is closing cleanup at toys r us?

Q. I just applied at Toys R Us. I was just wondering if anyone knew normally how long closing cleanup is at the end of the night. I know that they close the store at 9 Monday-Saturday and 7 on Sunday, but how long does it take until you actually leave the store. Also, does anyone know what time the store is normally open until for holiday hours?

A. I have worked at TRU since June of 2006 and the best answer i can give regarding closing cleanup is that it totally depends on which manager is closing. Some managers will keep you as late as 945 or 10 oclock but others dont stay past 915. However i would say the average time it takes would be about 30 minutes past closing. And about the holiday hours around late november the store stays open til 10 for about 2 weeks then early december it goes to 12 up until christmas. Hope this answers your questions.

What train do i take to get to Toys R Us in times square?
Q. I live at Queens Village. I would like to know all the trains and directions to get to the Toys R Us in Times Square, because I would like to go to Times Square before Christmas.

A. This Toys R us is at Broadway and West 44th Street.

Queens Village will most likely have you end up at the E or F train, depending on which buses you have easy access to. Take either train, really.

If it's the E, take it to 42nd Street. You can exit at the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 8th Avenue, or you can walk through the corridor to the Times Square station at Broadway/7th Avenue (they cross at around 42nd Street).

If you get the F, take it to 42nd Street/Bryant Park. Exit there, and you're at 6th Avenue. Just walk one block west to Broadway and 7th Avenue.

You can enter in your trip at:
http://maps.google.com - and choose to get directions for public transportation.
http://tripplanner.mta.info also works very well. In fact, this is probably the best way, because Google still has to work on a couple of features to make theirs a bit better.

Keep in mind, Google Maps or MTA Trip Planner won't list every option. You might be near ten different bus lines, and most of them might work, but they'll just pick the one that comes at the time closest to when you're going. Still, if you know that a bus will get you to the subway, just take it, even if it's not the one your directions gave you.

The major bus route through Queens Village is the Q43, which will take you to the F train at 179th Street, or the E train if you stay on it to Sutphin Boulevard/Jamaica LIRR station. Again, either train works.

What to wear for a job interview at Toys R Us?
Q. I have a job interview tomorrow at Toys R Us. What should I wear? How should I wear my hair?

If you've worked there before, what kind of questions do they ask at the interview?

It's a group interview, what can I do to stand out?

I want this to go well because I've been needing a job for so long. I don't want to blow this. Please help, thanks so much!

A. I'm so tempted to answer your question by; go dressed a giant teddy bear!

That's not going to help you though. So... wear a smart outfit that says you are a serious business person and can close a sale (doesn't matter if it is toys r us or mansions in the sky r us) you still have to sell. You can be fun on the shop floor but it is all business in the boardroom.

But be appropriate to the company you are interviewing for, so wear maybe a fun pin, flower, badge etc on your suit. A fun clip in your hair. You could put your hair up in an "up do" but add a few subtle glitter clips to show off your fun side.

Standing out - show them that you can take a family situation and talk to the parents while also being sweet to the kid's ie "Hey kids, I have to talk to mum and dad for a min can you look at (nearest toy) and tell me which would be best value for money/colour/fun? the list is in your imagination"

Toys R Us are like every other big company - they want people who can sell. So sell yourself my dear! Believe when you walk through that door that Toys R Us need YOU more than you need them!

All the very best of luck tomorrow!

What is the cheapest place to buy school supplies for a second grader?
Q. I have a second grader and he needs the typical second grader stuff for school. I have tried to prices stuff online and it does not have the price, most of the time it just shows "in store only". Anyways, close to my home is a Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, Khols, Sears, JCPenneys and a few others. Please help me decide on the cheapest way to go. Thanks a million in advance.

A. I think quality should come before price. If you're opting for quality, which isn't as essential for a second grader as it would be for a middle schooler or high schooler, I'd go with Staples. Their brand binders are plastic tear free and last the entire school year. It may be more economic than a cheaper price because it won't have to be replaced part-way through the year like other binders will. It all adds up in the end and if you're willing to pay more now you'll save in the long run. However, if you're going for initial price, which may be the smarter option for a second grader, I'd definitely go to Walmart or Target, they're notorious for the best prices.

We are only a couple of weeks away from Black Friday and I wanna know when will Toys R us start contacting those people who meet all the job requirements for the job position they filled out the online job application for.

How do I sell a toy to a customer?

Q. I have an interview for Toys R Us tomorrow, and someone I know who had an interview today called me and told me that in the interview we will be expected to try to sell a toy to the interviewer. I have absolutely no experience in sales. Can someone please go over with me the approach to selling a toy/merchandise? I need an asap answer. :/

A. Well talk about the quality of the Toy. (example: It's worth the price because it's going to last much longer than a toy you would by at a discount store.)
Talk about the safety of the toy (maybe mention that toy r us toys are approved and talk about what prevents the child from being hurt with it.)

And sweet talk the costumer. (have them imagine their child playing with this toy and how enjoyable it is. talk about the unique features it has and how it will always keep them entertained.)

Hope this helps

What are the best toys for a 9 month old and where is the best place to buy that isn't expensive?
Q. My LO is crawling around now and getting into everything. I figured he might be bored.
I have a few toys, but I wanted to get more, a lot more.
I've been to Toys R Us a few times and it's great. But my friend said for that I'm better off going to yard sales or thrift shops. Is this true?
If I wanted to buy from ebay what keyword would I use? I've done a few searches but nothing good comes up.

A. yep and try consignment shops. Why pay more when you can find the same things at great prices somewhere else. Unless you have a problem with used stuff...which some people do.

Don't do ebay High prices!!!

What company makes that child's orange and yellow toy ride on car you used to see everywhere?
Q. Years ago they used to have these plastic orange cars with yellow roofs, kind of like a toy VW beetle, that children would "drive" and it had a little horn that beeped. The only time I've seen them now is in grocery stores built into carts. What company makes that and are they still for sale? If so, where can I buy one? (I'm guessing Toys r Us or Amazon but couldn't find them when I searched!)

A. Little Tikes

How to come up with a great sales pitch for a kid's toy?
Q. Tomorrow I'm going in for a group interview at Toys R Us. I've been doing a bit of research of what kinds of questions they'll ask during the interview. One thing they might potentially do is set you up in a group & tell you to sell a toy to the class. I want to be prepared as possible so what would be a great sales pitch, let's say for a toy plane?

A. Well. Younger children tend to not care about materials. If you can, throw numbers at them like "Maintains a charge for up to 2 hours!" Or something along those lines. Also if you move from fact to fact too quickly the kids will feel.... how do I say it.... intimidated? One, final thing. The older the children, the more advanced vocabulary. A 12 year old doesn't want to be talked to like a 6 year old. Get what I'm saying?

Where can I work after Christmas season?

Q. I was hiered at Toys R Us for the holiday season but now I need to find another job. I think that all retail stores are letting people go. I need to find a job and can't afford to wait a months when retail may start hireing again. Does anyone know where I can find a job. By the way I only have a high school diploma, graduated 2010.

A. Check out all local businesses and restaurants. Also local papers and your Employment Security office. If there are any temporary services offices they could possibly get your foot in the door at some ground level jobs. Then of course friend connections or people from your local churches as well. You may consider a career option of trying to go back to school. In some instances trade schools tend to pay off in better future earnings and faster than a 4 year college degree. Good luck.

what is the minimum age to become a sales team member at toys r us?
Q. What are some other jobs that a 17 year old can do at toys r us

A. Try their website: http://www.toysrusinc.com/careers/student-programs/

How do I apply for a job?
Q. This may sound stupid, but I pretty much have no social intelligence whatsoever. If I want to apply for a job at Toy R Us or PetSmart, do I just ask anyone who works there for a job application or is there a certain person I should ask who works there? Situations like these create more anxiety for me.

A. You could usually just ask anyone. If in case they're not the right person to ask then I'm sure they'll redirect you to the right person. You could also apply online. Snagajob.com is a pretty good site if you're looking to work in retail. Indeed.com is a good site too since it has job postings from all the different job boards and career sites out there. You could also go directly to the website of the place you wanna work for and they'll most likely have a section for applicants.

Is becoming an investor a good career path for someone with asperger syndrome?
Q. I am 17 years old, I suffer from asperger syndrome, I have a strong interest in the stock market, I would like to become an investor in it to try and get wealthy if I can. Is this a good career path for someone like me?

A. If you're really a virtuoso in money, operation, finance, investments, business and all that, than I say YES! It's a possibility. But there is just one catch. It depends on your level of understanding the social norms of the place of business or even the business' culture. Your need to have the information exact and correct all the time is really important to you, depending on how you think, interpret, and process information compared to anybody else. You'd really have to explain your struggles in life (difficulty with certain tasks, difficulty with relating to fellow peers, difficulty increasing your verbal communication abilities at a maximum level like fellow peers, issues with certain situations or whatsoever, whatever your disorder has that holds roadblocks and limits your ways of getting out in life and doing other things.) so that we can understand you and let you know what you need to outgrow your weaknesses. Depending on what state you live in, you'll have to discuss with your parents about possibilities for summer job opportunities that have to do with money and all that. If you're gonna go to college and study money and business and whatever has to do with the stock market, it requires strong studying and reading in order to prepare yourself for the path you intend to follow. You may be an excellent reader, but technically, it depends on whether or not you get distracted easily. You may have to read about the Stock Market Crash of 1929 and articles talking about stock markets. Read the TIME Magazines, read articles discussing the economic crisis and what Obama's doing to pass laws or do anything to provide us good money and welfare. Also, read about the businesses that are shutting down (like Toyota, Honda, and other cars; Toys R Us, other places). Take some accounting / business / money related classes (if you're still in high school, or if you're on your way to college). If you struggle with verbal communication, than read some books, including learn some new words, and observe what other people say. You may have a good memory in hearing other people speak. I'm just saying keep it up and try and learn more in order to prepare yourself.

Can anybod recommend a good job in Miami,Florida for a 16/17 year old?

Q. I've been job searching for a while now,but can't seem to find anything. That,or I don't get the job...Any hints,suggestions,or jobs(interesting ones would be nice...) I could take?

A. Here are a couple of places that seem not too stressful and great for High School students.

Publix
Target
Toys R Us (especially now, holidays coming in)
Pet Smart (I worked there when I was around your age)
Bloomingdales
Macys

Most of the big name stores will be hiring very soon due to the Holidays! You have a great chance at a large retail chain.

Even though your young and I'm assuming your in school still you can try Monster.com. Make a small resume which is pretty simple and look around for entry positions in your area that are flexible with your schedule.

Also, when I was around your age I wanted to babysit so I printed out business cards and wrote a small amount of info about myself on pieces of paper and I placed them into my neighbors mailboxes( which I believe is illegal, so if your interested put them near the mailbox but not in). If your interested in that, you can set your own rate and although you may have to give up your weekend nights you can make some nice money.

Hope this helped

is anyone a student from the Miami International Institute of Art and Design?
Q. or were you? If so, may i interview you?

A. If its one of the Art Institutes run by EDMC (all of them that use the
AI logo), avoid them like a plague. They're not an art school
employers take seriously. They're open enrollment, they take ANYONE.
They just want the financial aid from the government that you are
entitled to. The government is now suing them for 11 Billion Dollars which could wipe them off the map easily.

If you ask me, they're an elaborate corporate scam to funnel as many
Government Pell grants and guaranteed loans out of students as they
can and leave the students with the bill.

They're like McDonald's of Art "Colleges". They're a chain that is
popping up everywhere. They buy out dying schools, rename them, keep
the accreditation. They create programs designed for impulse buyers and quick hits aka uninformed students.

They may seem like they would be good, but it is all smoke and
mirrors. Pretty building with pretty computers. Meanwhile, it will
just ruin your life.

The market demand they say they're meeting is not the demand of the
Job market, its the demand of the students. Students that graduated AI
are struggling to get jobs and have over more than $50,000+ or
$90,000+ in debt depending on what degree they went for. Degrees that
are worthless in the job market.

Basically, AI is a degree mill, a total debt factory. They use bloated success stats and
circle logic to back them up.

They count students working at Toys R Us as in the field. Avoid them
if you want to actually have a decent future.

If you really want to pursue your passion, go to a community college,
study fine art, and then transfer into a state school. It will be
cheaper and the money you save you can buy your own equipment and
STILL have money left over for a better future.

Their job leads are bogus, they go to Monster, Craigslist, and career
builder just like everyone else. Their top employer is HOME DEPOT
(Check their own website) and I guarantee none of those are art jobs.

Don't make the same mistake my friends and I did. We'll be paying for
it for the rest of our lives.

If you go with AI you'll be folding clothes at Target or hawking video
games at Toys R Us for $8.25 an hour and struggling to pay $90,000+
with bill collectors haunting your every waking moment for the REST OF
YOUR LIFE with no way to stop them because there is no bankruptcy
protection on Student loans.
Please please please make sure you check out these news articles
below. Many are accounts from students, staff, and teachers of AI.
Feel free to check YELP ("Filtered results" as well.)

What you do with this information is your choice, I just want to make
sure you know everything before listening to one of their recruiters
sales pitch. Remember, they're paid sales people. Not your friend.
College may be expensive but what these guys are pulling is straight
out highway robbery.

Below is a few news articles about different AI's around the country. They're all pulling the same thing.
Its EDMC's business model.

Decide for yourself.

Can I get a price adjustment on an item that is on sale on Black Friday at Toys R Us?

Q. I went to toys r us recently and bought an item for $25.99. I just realized it is going to be on sale for half the price on the day after thanksgiving. Will they give me a price adjustment if I go there that day?
If not I will just buy another one and take the old one back with the receipt that has the full price.

A. Retailers usually exclude their Black Friday sales from price matches. I bet the easiest thing would be to return and re-but. Assuming you are willing to go out on such a busy shopping day.

Does Anyone know what 3 games comes with the XBOX 360 console at Toys R US on Black Friday?
Q. I see that Toys R US is offering a "deal" on XBOX 36o that includes a carrying case and three games. But I cannot find which 3 games it comes with. If anyone could help that would be awesome! Thanks.

A. If im not wrong I think one of them is the new batman game. But Best buy has the same deal with 4 games.

Do you know where to find the black friday papers?
Q. Where do people find the black friday papers to know what is going to be on sale? I asked toys r us and one person said they normally dont put thier ads in the paper....you can only see the sales as you come in and they put the sale papers out then. What experience have you had with finding them?

A. Oh Honey just buy a copy of your local newspaper and the sales will all be in there.Get the paper the day before Thanksgiving and on thanksgiving and you are all set.You can also go on line and check out what's going to be on sale. There will be lots and lots of sale circulars for you to choose from in the papers.

should i go to the Walmart black Friday or the toys r us?
Q. i really want to know what black Friday sales store i should go? this is my first tme going to blacck Friday sales and i would really appreciate any suggestions:)
im planning on purchasing the Xbox 360 Kinect!toys r us has it and so does Walmart, the only difference is that toys r us opens up at 9pm and Walmart opens up at 10.

A. Ask yourself what you really want, what your children want.. They want you to come impulse buy.. I used to really be into that.. I feel you would have better luck at toys r us and target .. Hellmart just had same electronics and toys as last year..mostly made in china stuff.. Happy hunting..

Where is the best place online to get a Nintendo DSi?

Q. Does anyone know of any deals on these for Cyber Monday or where would be the best place to look first? Would like new or refurbished, no used ones ones unless like new and with a warranty.

A. Try Amazon.Com, Ebay.com, Buy.com or Toys "R" Us.com, you could find a good one from any of those stores. <<

Does anyone have a Toys R Us online coupon code?
Q. I have had my eye on a ride on motorcycle for my son, but it didn't go on sale for cyber monday. Does anyone have an online coupon code for TRU?

A. I've been pretty happy with slimsrp.com.

I actually found a Toysrus coupon code there.

What are some online stores that are going to have the ipod touch 32 gb on cyber monday?
Q. i already know walmart and target are.
im leaning twards target but idk if they will have apple care or some sort of repair or technical support.
Help!

A. you can check http://pungle.org/deals.htm for deals at bestbuy, newegg, buy.com, and toys r us. happy shopping!

How much will an iPod touch 5 cost me on black Friday?
Q. I have never gone to a black Friday and i want to know about the prices.

Thanks.

A. The "cheapest" option for a 32GB iPod touch 5th gen is at Best Buy. Their online and in-store price will be 294.99 plus tax but with free shipping. You'll also get a $50 dollar gift card to Best Buy. I could not find any sales for the 64GB iPod touch 5th gen.

You can also try looking for the 16GB iPod touch 4th gen at Target in-store (195.00 with a $40 gift card), Best Buy in-store and online ($194.99 with a $50 gift card), Toys R' Us ($199.99 with a $50 gift card), et cetera.

Good luck shopping :) Just look around at websites of the stores you would like to shop at. They all have their Black Friday/Cyber Monday advertisements up.

McDonalds Monopoly bonus guarentee prizes- good prize or bad?

Q. Does anyone think that this year's McDonalds Monopoly bonus guarentee prizes are crap? We don't even have a local Toy's R Us (prize coupons can only be redemed to $5 in one visit) and who shops for shoes at expensive Foot Locker (coupons can only be redemed for 20% off).

Are these prizes or coupons? ( just like anyone can get online or in the newspaper). Any suggestions for next year?

A. I agree that they aren't the best prizes or bonuses. I don't really know what to call them. I don't know of any suggestions for next year, though.

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Best places to get It on Black Friday?
Q. I'm planning on doing some Black Ops shopping for PS3 on Black Friday, but I'm wondering if people know where the best places are to get it. Target seems to have pretty good deals this year, Wal-Mart? Best Buy? Toys R Us? I know that mostly all stores will sell it for $59.99, but are there some coupons and discounts and stuff that go around. So any ideas? Thanks guys

BTW I'm going to be actually driving to the store, not online stuff

A. If you feel like waiting in the lines i would say that best buy would have to have the better deals my advice either find a friend who works with best buy or make friends with one of the employes there because all best buy employes get a nice discount

What are possible reasons as to why people buy the weekend edition of newspapers?
Q. In many cities around the country, weekend editions of newspapers often have the highest circulation numbers. I was wondering why. Thank You

A. A) some people are too busy monday through Friday to keep up with the news during the week so getting the newspaper daily isnt worth shelling out money for many..

B) they read the newspaper at work perhaps depending on where they work so they don't have to buy it or they read it daily online..

C) people buy the weekend edition more than anything else because they contain comics, Parade Magazine, coupons, discounts for stores like Fry's and so on..

Its a quick all in one combo paper and advertisement and contains something for everyone..in the family, toys r Us ads and so on....

What could I buy at Toys-R-Us with my $5 coupon that expires today?
Q. Hey fuzzykitty it expires today dumbass that doesnt mean its expired already it means it will not work after today. why dont you learn some stuff before you go tryin to be funny.

A. This link takes you to a list of their items with free shipping (if you're going to order online, important) sorted by price. The short answer is: not much. Some wheels.

How to get to Maryland Pkwy from Las Vegas Strip?
Q. I'm staying in Flamingo Hotel and I'd like to go to Maryland Pkwy for shopping and dining. I bought a Bus Ticket for The Deuce and I want to use it also to get to Maryland Pkwy via E. Flamingo Rd - Best Buy, Toys R us. Is there a Bus traversing E. Flamingo Rd? I'm a newbie when it comes to routes. If someone could help me with the directions to get there, that would be great.

A. I cannot give you bus numbers but all you need to do is go to the bus stop on Flamingo Rd, right next to Ballys, and catch a bus headed East. Then get off at Maryland Parkway and catch another bus the 3 or 4 blocks up to the Boulevard Mall, or walk from there. Its not really that far from the Strip and pretty much an easy bus ride with just one transfer. Ask the bus driver when you get on the first bus.

Does Toys "R" Us accept returns if its from another city?
Q. I bought this doll for my niece in Las Vegas and she doesn't want it any more. I live in Los Angeles. Is it possible to return this doll to my local Toys "R" Us even though I bought it in a Toy "R" Us in Las Vegas? It in perfect condition. Its still in the box and everything. I have the receipt. Would it be alright?

A. yes

They give you a hard time if it is from their website (the warehouse packers and shippers are illiterate and just throw anything they find in the box) but from a physical store it should be simple.
