Q. I can get both but:
I listen to a lot of music and I want something portable so I can listen to music and surf the web when i'm on the go and I will listen to music on the iPad while surfing the web when i'm at home.
I play a lot of games, especially when i'm on the go and I will always have my iPod with me because I listen to a lot of music and I will carry my iPad with me when i'm going somewhere like to my mom's office or by a friend etc.
I'm gonna read a few e-books
and i'm also gonna show off
I'm 13

A. If Apple had upgraded the iPod Touch to include the A5, I'd suggest that, but since it didn't I'd get the iPad 2, since it will have a longer product life, but if you're thinking about that I'd wait until the iPad 3 comes out with hardware upgrades in Spring 2012.
At the moment there isn't a 5th generation iPod Touch. The current iPod Touch (4th generation that was originally released in September 2010), was slightly modified in October 2011 to include a white color option, iOS 5 and some minor hardware changes, but still uses the A4 processor. Why Apple decided against upgrading to an A5 seems like a huge mistake, since it could help erode dedicated portable game systems like the Nintendo DS and Playstation PSP or Vita. Perhaps they needed all the A5 processors for the iPhone 4S.
Here are some GPU performance comparisons between the A4 and A5

I imagine the next iPod Touch will (hopefully) include a larger screen and bypass the A5 and include the forthcoming A6 processor, but it will probably be a quad-core ARM Cortex A9/PowerVR SGX543MP4 that will be used in the Sony Playstation Vita. Another possible option is a dual-core ARM Cortex A15/PowerVR SGX600, which will be faster than the quad-core ARM Cortex A9 and use less power, but that probably won't be available until late 2012, early 2013.

Hopefully Apple doesn't use the A5 given the continual improvement in processors.
The PowerVR SGX600 series (Rogue) supposedly will be 20x faster in graphics performance --

If you're not into graphically intensive games, the iPod Touch 4th edition might suit your needs. It already plays 'Infinity Blade', but if you want something that isn't already over a year old, you might want to wait (as bad as that sounds).
