A. Try entering "open". If it asks for a specific dollar amount, google the position and see what the avg for the position is paying, and enter that amount.
How much is a good "desired hourly pay" for a part time job?
Q. I'm applying at Toys R Us and the application asks me what I'd like to be paid hourly. What is a good, accurate number to put down? Please be serious.
A. Minimum wage (7.25/hr)
How often do jobs look at applications that were filled out online?
Q. I took this entire day to fill out a whole bunch of applications online. I applied for starbucks, walgreens, target, toy r us, and subways. Does anyone know how often these websites check online applications, and is it a good idea to print out all applications to the stores that I applied to and take them to the stores personally even if I already applied online?
A. its best to call after and see if they had time to look at ur application. but do it in a respectful way they like to u show initiative
Is it okay to fake my age by a few months on my job application to Toys 'R us?
Q. I submitted a job application to Toys R Us and I said my age was 16. I will turn 16 in 3 months! But i'm hoping to start working (if i get accepted) in 2 months and from then on.
If they find out will they fire me? Or will they continue to try to work with me even though I am only 15 1/2?

A. If you want to keep the job, you better come clean about your age and hope that your employer will understand that you have learned a lesson and won't lie to Toys R Us again.
But even if 'they' don't care is it OK or not to lie? Maybe the answer is Yes and No. Maybe it depends on whose standards you use to answer the question. Lots of people wouldn't care less what you did, but maybe your standards are higher than theirs? Maybe your integrity and your word is a weighty issue and maybe it's important for you to be honest and upright even when, especially when, no one is watching. How do you feel about this?
